She was predeceased by: her parents, George Drake and Carrie Drake; and her former husband Michael S. Thurston. She is survived by: her children, Glenn, Wyman Sites, Jr. (Lindsey) of Charlottesville, Dewey Sites (Brandi) of Scottsville and Deborah Dorrier (Raymond) of Scottsville; and her fiancé Irving Micklem. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Betty's honor to Albemarle County Fire and Rescue.
