He is survived by: his wife Lisa Coffey Stendig; his children, Eli and Lily Stendig; his siblings, Betsy Cook (Vern Cook), Lenny Stendig, Sarah Wood (Eric Wood) and Lisa Faye Stendig; his cousins, Jennie Clegg, Igor Feldman and Ricki Schechter Avant; and his nieces and nephews, Charlie Cook, Sophie Cook, Gil Stendig, Shelley Cahn and Joseph Wood.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Panorama Natural Burial Grounds (3550 Reas Ford Ln, Earlysville, VA 22936).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Panorama Natural Burial Grounds, in support of their work with land preservation.
