It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carl Nelson of Edinburg, Virginia, who passed away on February 14, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Astrid Nelson and Carl A. Nelson; his sisters, Edna and Margaret; and his niece Holly Greenwood.
He is survived by : his wife Alison Scott Nelson; his children, Carla Nelson, James Nelson and Trina Ouzts (Steve); and his grandchildren, Alan Schultes, Brian Schultes, Kristen Ouzts and Anna Schultes.
In lieu of flowers and to honor Carl, the family is asking you to use your time and talents at a local food pantry or by sending a monetary donation to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, the Woodstock Lions Club, or the Woodstock Presbyterian Church.
