He was predeceased by: his parents, Russel William Smith and Myrtle Olinger Smith of New Market; and his siblings, Donnie Ray Smith of New Market and Hazel Smith Gladsen of Kingsport, TN.. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie J. Smith; and his children, Kim Ray Smith (Theresa Bemis Smith) of Maurertown, Teresa Ann Smith Barb (Tony Allan Barb) of Spotsylvania and Melissa J. Smith Wood (Ronnie W. Wood) of Rileyville. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
