He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Jean Cox; his children, Teresa M. Cox, Darlene T. Young, Anne M. Simms, Karen D. Ridgell (Mike), Richard D. Thompson, Mark J. Thompson and Joanie Smith; and his brother Dewayne Cox. He is also survived by his 15 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
