He is survived by: his wife Dorothy A. Racey; his son Patrick B. Racey (Christine); his grandchildren, Josh Racey, Tyler Racey (Brittany), Travis Racey, Isaac Burner (Brooke) and Lily Starke; his son-in-law Phil Burner (Sharon); and his sister-in-law Judy Racey.

A funeral service was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St. Luke Covenant Brethren Church (3250 Back Rd, Woodstock, VA 22664).
