She was predeceased by: her parents, Hurley Haswell and Clarice Marie Lovill Austin; her husband Melvin Verlon White; and her son James E. White. She is survived by: her son Jonathan V.; her daughters-in-law, Janie White of Elk Creek, Virginia and Sharon White of Galax, Virginia; her siblings, Margaret Gunn of Little Field, Texas and Bob; and her sister-in-law Alice Austin of Kingsport, Tennessee. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
