He was predeceased by : his parents, Steve Charles and Sally Marie Poole Hash; his wife Nancy Lucille Shaffer Hash; and his siblings, Ethel Brewer, Mary Lou Sturgill, Euna Lundy, Ruth McKinnon, Carl and Curtis Hash.

He is survived by : his children, Anne Walker of Elk Creek, Fred Arnold Hash, Jr. of Rural Retreat, VA, Allen and Brenda Hash of Sparta, NC; his grandchildren, Danielle Walker, Justin (Corinne Walker), Tyler Choate (Laken Ring) and Zachary Hash; his great grandchild Talen Kade Choate; and his pet Wrinkles.
