She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. James Gheen and Mae Ruth McNabb Gheen; her brothers, Donald E. Gheen and Larry A. Gheen; and her siblings-in-law, William Howard Peregory and Frances Schultz.
She is survived by: her husband Samuel Carl Fendley of Weyers Cave, VA; her children, Dorinda Ruth Sponaugle of Elkton, VA, Trina Marie Miller (Ernie) of Iberia, MO and Samuel "Carl" Fendley, Jr. (Hillary) of Martinsburg, WV; her grandchildren, Stephen Sponaugle II (Katelyn) of Shenandoah, VA, Samuel Sponaugle (Hannah) of Martinsburg, WV, Elizabeth Baker (Joshua) of Iberia, MO, James Miller (Yesica) of Dixon, MO, Allison Hensell of Middleton, VA and Jerry Tylor Fendley of Lexington, NC; and her great grandchildren, Ezra, Isaiah, Lucas, Jayce, David, Grant and Isabella.
