She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry and Jessie Lee Merica (Meadows); her grandson Jeremy Morris; and her siblings, Hazel Shifflett, Patsy Ann Merica, Debbie Hensley, Charles Merica, Kenneth "Curly" Merica, Mark Wayne Merica, Robert Merica and Leon Merica.
She is survived by: her husband Isaac Elvin Dovel; her daughter Sharon Morris (Winston) of Elkton; her grandsons, Nathan Morris (Rachel McCormick) and Jonathan Morris (Courtney); her daughter-in-law Samantha Morris; her great grandchildren, Olivia, Khloe, Jasmine, Savanna, Zariee, Tessah, Julian, Elise, Gavin, Caleb and Ava; and her siblings, Linda Eppard, Dee Breeden (Truman), Margie Dean (Rudy), Roy Dale "Buddy" Merica (Karis) and Melvin Ray Merica (Goldie).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests all memorial contributions be made to the Furnace Church, P.O. Box 65, Elkton, VA 22827. Donations can be made in Care of the Church Youth Group or Women's Society.
