He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Paul Wise Phillips, Sr. and Nina McCauley Phillips; his brother DeWayne Phillips; his close friend Jerry Neff; his children, Paul Eric Phillips (Kim) of Port Republic and Brooke Simmers (Doug) of Harrisonburg; his grandchildren, Austin Buzzard, Cole Phillips and Abby Phillips; his fiancée Linda Raines of Elkton; his sisters, Katie Andes (Ivan "Sonny") of Timberville and Martha Phillips May (Greg Meadows) of Keezletown; his sister-in-law Louise Phillips; and his close friends, Teddy Hensley, John Smith, Roger Miller, Darrell Campbell, Greg Meadows, Lyniel Kite Jr., John Burner, Jeremy Miller and Myrtle Frances Pence. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
