She was predeceased by: her parents, John Reuben May and Ida Florence Lam May; her husband Arthur F. Stroop; her son Eugene Franklin Stroop; and her siblings, Alva May, Eunice Rexrode, Evangeline Monger and Wilbur May.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Krystal Diane Shaffer (J. D.) and Ashley Nicole Reed (John); and her niece Karen Monger. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Kyger Funeral Home - Elkton (115 Nicholson Rd, Elkton, VA 22827). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery - McGaheysville Cemetery.
