The memory of Arlene George Umberger of Elkwood, Virginia, who passed away on October 16, 2025 at the age of 77, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon D. George, Jr. and Geneva George; her husband Jerry; her siblings-in-law, Mac Andes, Eddy Lohr and Beth Wheeland George; and her mother-in-law Gladys Umberger.
She is survived by: her children, Amy Umberger (John Ladusky) of Locust Grove and Jason Umberger (Nicki Via Umberger) of Culpeper; her siblings, Joan George Lohr of Madison, Darlene George Barron (Tommy Barron) of Culpeper, Debra Jean George of Orange and Doug George of Pennsylvania; and her sister-in-law Joan Umberger Andes of Elkwood. She is also survived by grandchildren, nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Clore-English Funeral Home (11190 James Monroe Hwy, Culpeper, VA 22701). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Remington Cemetery (11910 Cemetery Rd, Remington, VA 22734).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Remington United Methodist Church, PO Box 86, Remington, VA 22734.
