He is survived by: his children, Ashley Rush-Howard (Vernon) of Ruckersville, Ariana Lee of Buckingham and Khaleb Pannell of Charlottesville, VA.; his siblings, Kenneth Simpson Jr. (Margie) of Arlington, Marnita Shepherd (Brian) of Charlottesville and Harvey Simpson (Lutrice) of Esmont, VA.; his grandchildren, Italiyah, Ariaan and Amariaan; his siblings' children, Scott, Demetrious, Drew, Danny, Nick, Morgan, Christopher and Jordan; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Zaya, Liu, Nova, Leo and Karter; his aunts and uncles, Steve Simpson of Lovingston, Frances Watkins of Charlottesville, Mary Simpson, Elizabeth Gray of Esmont, Norman Morris (Bug) of Charlottesville, VA, Cheryl Morris of Detroit, MI, Yvonne Watkins, Secelia Kelly and Raymond Morris of Philadelphia, PA.; and his cousin Theresa Jackson of Esmont.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Chestnut Grove Baptist Church (8825 Chestnut Grove Rd, Esmont, VA 22937).
