Kenneth Thaniel Brooks Obituary
Kenneth Thaniel (KT) Brooks, age 63, of Ewing, VA, passed away March 17, 2026 at home surrounded by his family. He was a member of Brooks Memorial Missionary Baptist Church in Ewing, VA.
Kenneth was born October 13, 1962 in Middlesboro, KY to the late Thaniel and Gracie (Sutton) Brooks of Ewing, Va.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harvey and Birdie Brooks and Alan and Dora Sutton; sister, Sherry Douglas; nephew, Derek Jones; great-niece, Trinadee Jones and father-in-law, WM Lloyd Brooks.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Donna Y. Brooks; sons, Jason Brooks of Ewing, VA and Luke Brooks and wife, Ariel of Ewing, VA; special granddaughter, Amylee Brooks of Ewing, VA; granddaughter, Alexis Brooks of New Tazewell, TN; grandsons, Blake, Riley and Kaleb of Ewing, VA; sisters, Ann (Don) Taylor of Russellville, TN, Margie (David) Jones of Sneedville, TN and Janice (Jimmy) Barnes of Ewing, VA; nephews, Terry Cheak of Russellville, TN, Darin (Rebecca) Jones of Sneedville, TN and Adam (Misty) Barnes of Ewing, VA; niece, Natasha Douglas of Ewing, VA; mother-in-law, Dorothy Brooks of Ewing, VA; several great nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and a host of good friends and neighbors.
A graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026 in the Jones Cemetery in Ewing, VA with Rev. Preston Smith officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jason and Luke Brooks, Darin Jones, Trent Jones, Jackson Jones, Norman Brooks, Jamie Brooks and David Daniel.
Songs will be provided by Jimmy Barnes.
