It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucy Boatright Bailey of Ewing, Virginia, who passed away on May 21, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Starling Boatright and Rosa Parker Boatright; her husband J. Hobert Bailey; her son Glenn Bailey; her siblings, Carrie, Gracie, Lindy, Dora, Lillie, Roxie, Rosie and William "Bill Boy" Boatright; and her son-in-law Carl Wilder.
She is survived by: her children, Harold Bailey (Linda) of Ewing, VA, Steve Bailey (Tammy) of Ewing, VA, Lester Bailey (Linda) of Ewing, VA, Carl Bailey (Tammy) of Ewing, VA, C. F. Bailey (Sheila) of Tazewell, TN, Lorine Wilder of Ewing, VA, Alene Chadwell (Charles) of Ewing, VA, Pauline Brooking (Charlie) of Ewing, VA, Rosie Crockett (Mike) of Harrogate, TN and Sally Sexton (Shawn) of Jonesville, VA. She is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
