With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Virginia Phyllis Brooks Fugate of Ewing, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 1, 2026 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hoy Lee Brooks and Bess Marie Brooks; her husband Harry M. Fugate, Sr.; her sister Vivian B. Patterson; and her sons, Joseph B. Fugate and Harry M. Fugate, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Robert Jeffrey Moore (Suzanne), Crawford Alan Fugate, Denise Moore Carter, Arabella F. Cline, Rosanna F. Dooley (William) and Deborah Sue Fugate; her great grandchildren, Jonathan Moore (Erin), Everett, Emily Moore Williams (Zachary), James Dalton Carter (Brittany), Adalynn, Emerson, Maeve, Virginia, Ashley Rasnake (Javan), Alex, Vivian, Rebecca Rice (Jared), Ruby, Glenn, Kelly Virginia Cline, Jacob Cline, Sarah Bachman (Bill), Cora, Rose, Celeste, Erin Glode (Jeremy), Franklin, Max, Julian, Caitlin Sutton (Ricardo), Lucas, Hope and Alana Michelle Fugate; and her adoptive daughters, Paulette, Nancy, Karen and Candy. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren.
