He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel B. Williams, Sr. and Madeline Dryden Williams; his daughter Samantha Williams; and his brother Ronald Lee "Ronnie" Denston, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Patty" Bell Williams; his daughter Patricia Louise Stevens of Salisbury, MD; his siblings, Sandra Lee Williams (Santiago) of Mappsville, VA and Beverly Denston (Teresa) of Deep Creek; his sister-in-law Yvonne Denston of Melfa, VA; his grandchildren, David, Porter, Jr. (Libby), Samantha Watkins, Jonathon Davis, Christopher Stevens (Olivia) and Jessica Stephens; and his great grandchildren, Ian Watkins, Damien Stevens and Eva Porter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
