We are sad to announce that on April 28, 2026, at the age of 88, Audrey Lee Vasenko (Fairfax, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Audrey departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Audrey. Though Audrey may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy Bastin and Lloyd Bastin; and her brother James Bastin. She is survived by: her husband MSgt Donald Vasenko; her children, Jodi Knittel (Jud Knittel) and Colonel Daniel Vasenko; and her grandsons, Dr. Jacob Knittel (Erica Rezende), Matthew Vasenko and Alexander Vasenko.
She also loved her family's multiple German shepherds and basset hounds, and her family has asked for a donation to http://www.dogsondeployment.org in lieu of flowers.
