He was predeceased by: his parents, Shilima Borga Dulo and Woizero Werke Ababo Kene; and his siblings, Nedi Shilima, Balcha, Alemu and Kebebew Shilima.
He is survived by: his children, Haymanot, Debora, Yonatan, Natnael and Amanuel. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, his children, grandchildren, extended family.
