We announce the death of Claudia Evelyn Fitzgerald of Fairfax, Virginia, who passed away on September 6, 2026, at the age of 91. Claudia will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman A. Lasch and Catherine Hilda Morgan. She is survived by: her husband Robert A. Fitzgerald, Sr. (Bob); her children, Colonel Robert A Fitzgerald, Jr. and Susan Scogno; her grandchildren, Kelly, Amy, Sean and Sara; her great grandchildren, Alexis, Jimmy, Elsie, Landon and Charlotte; and her sister Terri Lemon. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Quantico National Cemetery (18424 Joplin Rd, Triangle, VA 22172).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in her honor to the American Cancer Society or Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
