Edward C King wrote a sympathy message

“My condolences to Fred's family and friends. I first met Fred at an ice rink in Silver Spring, Maryland in 1963. He was one of three senior staff who taught group lessons. I later saw Fred again when he taught in Fairfax, Virginia. I didn't take lessons from Fred, but I saw that he was always very patient with his students, yet to the point but with good humor. I met Warren during these years that I skated in the DC area. They were well matched. They both had a great sense of humor. Such a loss”
