He was predeceased by: his parents, Colonel John F. Nicholas Jr. and Lucy Nicholas; and his brother William Nicholas. He is survived by: his wife Loretta Nicholas; his sons, John Nicholas IV, Matthew Nicholas (Catherine), Russell Nicholas and Stephen Nicholas; his granddaughters, Sascha Nicholas and Milla Nicholas; and his sister Susan Nicholas.

In lieu of flowers, we request donations in John's memory to The Brain Foundation of which John served on its board for many years.
