John Rodgers leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. John Rodgers’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew John Rodgers will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Nelson Eddy and Edna Rodgers Eddy; and his sister Susan Eddy Whitman. He is survived by: his spouse Lynn Shovestul Eddy; his sons, Rob (Melissa), Geoffrey (Stephanie) and Joe (Kristen); and his brother Bill (Liss). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and cherished friends.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home (9902 Braddock Rd, Fairfax, VA 22032). A burial was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Fairfax Memorial Park (4401 Burke Station Rd, Fairfax, VA 22032).
