She was predeceased by: her parents, John Gass and Louise Buchanan Gass; and her husband Warren "Buck" Herzig. She is survived by: her sister Evelyn Smelser; her children, Carol Sliver (Buck), Dennis Herzig and Sherry Elder (Bruce); her grandchildren, Jennifer Hinkle (Eric), Rebecca McAnallen (Mark), David Herzig (Jamie), Blake Elder and Robert Elder; and her close friend Jane Dieselhorst. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
