We announce the death of Richard Young of Fairfax, Virginia, who passed away on June 20, 2026, at the age of 89. Richard will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmo Young and Maxine Young; and his brother James Young. He is survived by: his wife Lillian; his sister Sharon Young; his sister-in-law Janet Young; his children, Susie Mangano (Jim), David Young, Bill Young (Katie) and Dan Young (Amy Sayer); his grandchildren, Dan Mangano (Stacey Harrington), Melissa Mangano, Eric Young (Alex Scheeler), Abby Young, Lucy Young and Owen Young; and his great grandchildren, Oscar Young, Rose Young and Ryan Mangano.
