He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence G. Johnsen and Inga M. Johnsen. He is survived by: his brother Clarence G. Johnsen, Jr.; his wife Pauline (Polly); his daughter Kristin Johnsen-Neshati; his son-in-law Amin Neshati; his grandchildren, Niku L. Neshati and Panah E. Neshati; and his nephews, Clarence G. Johnsen III and Gregory L. Johnsen of Colorado.

Memorial contributions may be made to Reformation Lutheran Church, the St. Olaf Fund, the Lutheran Social Mission Society of Philadelphia, the University of Minnesota Scholarship in Honor of George Floyd, the University of Minnesota Law School, and the Pennsylvania Veterans Museum.

“To the family of Roger Johnson please accept our deepest sympathies in the passing of your husband, father, grandfather and extended family. I knew Roger from his participation in the Sons Of Norway lodge, Restauration Lodge 3-555 in Wallingford, PA. Roger would drive out from Philly to Wallingford just to spend time with us fellow Norskies. I always enjoyed my conversations with him, they were full of life and joy. We had a lot in common as both my wife and I are orginally from Wisconsin.”
