He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Combs and Ruth Cooley Combs; and his sisters, Rebecca "Becky" Parish of Galax, Virginia. and Cheryl Ross of Galax, Virginia.. He is survived by: his wife Judy; his children, Alison (Joe), Daronda (Robbie) and Shannon; his grandchildren, Joey (Priya), Ryan and Aiden; and his great grandchild Lily. He is also survived by several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and by several cousins.
