With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Shirley Perkins of Falling Spring, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 28, 2026 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Clifton Broughfman, Sr. and Nellie Staton Broughfman; her husband Thomas Gilbert Perkins; her son Thomas Edward Perkins, Sr.; her sister Daisy Broughfman Durham (James); and her brothers-in-law, Johnny Graham and James Durham.
She is survived by: her grandson Thomas Edward Perkins, Jr. (Ashley Lee) of Frankford, WV; her great grandchildren, Jonathan, Lucy and Lilly Perkins; and her siblings, Darlene Meadows (William), Peggy Graham, Earl Broughfman (Jeanie), Curtis Broughfman and Jesse Broughfman (Jenny). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
