He is survived by: his wife Dorothy; his children, Mark and Sheri Akin; his son-in-law Joe Akin; his granddaughter Julia Hoy; and his siblings, Ken Persson, Mark Persson and Karen Kopec. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
