He was predeceased by: his son James; and his brother Arthur. He is survived by: his wife Mary Keating of Arlington, VA; his daughters, Elizabeth Altman Bush Stansel (Kirk) and Anne Altman (Dan Pelino); his grandchildren, Zachary Alire, J. J. Bush and Stephanie Alire; his great grandchild Sophia Dotson; and his sibling's children, Agnes Wages, Kathy English, Margie Altman, Murray Altman and Paul Altman.
