Velva Tabor Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Velva Tabor of Falls Mills, Virginia, who passed away on August 24, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Worley Stanford Jackson and Martha Lambert Jackson; her husband Thomas J. Tabor, Sr.; her daughter Edwina Tabor Taylor of Athens, Alabama; her brothers, Norman Jackson of Baltimore, Maryland and Porter Jackson; her sister-in-law Ellen Jackson of Baltimore, Maryland; her sister Josefine Robbins of Fredericksburg, Virginia; and her siblings-in-law, Donald Tabor and Margaret Tabor.

She is survived by: her children, Thomas J. Tabor, Jr. (Karen) of Tazewell, Tennessee, Debra Tabor Brewster of Falls Mills, Virginia and Adam N. Tabor (Thsering Angmo); her son-in-law Matthew Taylor of Athens, Alabama; her sister Mary Nichols of Sterling, Virginia; her sister-in-law Geraldine Jackson of Baltimore, Maryland.; her grandchildren, Brittany Tribell of Pineville, Kentucky, William Bryan Tabor of Pineville, Kentucky, Brittany Taylor of Oregon, Mallory Taylor Glenn (A. J. Tolliver) of Athens, Alabama, London Camille Ray-Dykstra of Roanoke, Virginia, Sahara Clare Brewster of Falls Mills, Virginia and Milan Caroline Brewster of Washington, D. C.; and her great grandchildren, Brylea, Brelan, Beckley of Four Mile, Kentucky, Brynlee Tabor of Tazewell, Tennessee, Christian, Gabe, Khloe, Lilly Tribell of Tazewell, Tennessee, Noah Christopher Glenn, Mia Tolliver, Raelynn Grace Tolliver of Athens, Alabama and Arthur Alexander Ray-Dykstra of Roanoke, Virginia.. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
