He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Penawell and Ruth Penawell; and his parents-in-law, Ernest and Joan Sherwood. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Sherwood Penawell; his children, Rusty R. Penawell (Jessica) of Kenton, DE, Keith E. Penawell (Cathy) of Windor, OH and Sara E. Seaman (Willis "Billy") of Fancy Gap, VA; and his siblings, Roger W. Penawell (Mary) of Flora, MS and Debbie A. Vanni of Martinez, CA. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
