He is survived by: his daughter Paula; his son-in-law Donnie Melton of Woodlawn, Virginia; his sister Patricia; his brother-in-law Chipper Thornton of Greensboro; and his grandchildren, Shannon Carr (Selena), Paige Wenn (Harold), Shelby Hall (Brodie), Tiffany Melton (Beth Barrett), Jesse Davis (Kendra) and Jayson Carr (Audrey). He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
