It is with sadness that the passing of Pauline Cassell of Fancy Gap, Virginia is shared. Pauline, born on June 13, 1928, passed away on September 15, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Pauline will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Pauline by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Pauline is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Pauline’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert Marlin and Mary Fletcher Tankersly; her husband Emmitt Edgar Cassell; and her son Terry Cassell. She is survived by: her son Michael Cassell; her sister Mamie Sawyers; Bobby Webb. She is also survived by three grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel (1035 N Main St, Hillsville, VA 24343). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to Round Knob Missionary Baptist Church.
