He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Mitchell; his children, LaWanda of Suffolk, VA, Christine (Rayvon), Joyce, Themeka, Chrystal of Farmville, VA, Stephanie of Mecklenburg, VA, Michael, Jr. (Dana) of Delaware and Rodney of Farmville; his stepchildren, Tabitha, Martin (Ashley) and Marcus of Cumberland, VA; his siblings, Marie (Albert) of Salisbury, Ethel (Donald) of Prospect, VA and Norvell of Richmond, VA; his aunts, Lillie Wiley of Appomattox, VA, Mary Jennings of Farmville, VA and Edith Scott of Jamaica; and his uncle Royal Scott of Darlington Heights, VA. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
