He is survived by: his wife Betty V. Hayes; his children, Michael J. Hayes, Jr. (Lisa), Barbara A. Schoppe (Stan) and James M. Fox (Ashlea); his brothers, Dale Hayes and Ray Hayes; his grandchildren, Doriann A. Westman and Kadence R. Fox; and his close friend Laura DeWaard. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
