She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, James Odell and Jean Handy; her husband Larry Murphy; her sons, Joseph Ward (Faith) and Gavin Murphy; and her grandchildren, Bentley, Wesley and Emberley.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Norris Funeral Services Martinsville Chapel (1500 Kings Mountain Rd, Martinsville, VA 24112). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 at the Mountain View Cemetery-Ridgeway (711 Church St, Ridgeway, VA 24148).
