He was predeceased by: his parents, Esley F. Whitlock and Lessie Witt Whitlock; his son Mike Whitlock; and his siblings, Evelyn Daniels, Roy Whitlock and Carl Leonard Whitlock.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Jean Whitlock; his sons, Bobby Whitlock (Joan) and Johnny Whitlock (Cristy); his brothers, Billy G. Whitlock and Jerry Whitlock; and his daughter-in-law Melissa C. Whitlock Cassell. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bassett Funeral Service (3665 Fairystone Park Hwy, Bassett, VA 24055). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at the Henry Memorial Park (8443 Virginia Ave, Bassett, VA 24055).
