We are sad to announce that on February 11, 2024, at the age of 85, Thomas Nelson Eggleston of Fieldale, Virginia, born in Martinsville, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas Eugene Eggleston and Maggie Lee Nelson Eggleston; and his siblings, Wesley Eggleston and Vera Lee Martin. He is survived by : his wife Jane T. Eggleston; his daughters, Karen Staiger (Marty) and Beth Davis (Mark); his brother Ronnie Dean Eggleston (Evelyn); and his grandchildren, Erin Bradshaw, Elise Staiger, Logan Davis and Mitchell Davis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Richard Plaster wrote a sympathy message

“I went to My Sunday school class yesterday morning and when I got home my wife told me that someone put Tommy Eggleston's family on the prayer list at Stone Memorial Christian Church, my fear was confirmed when I called his home and Jane told me he had passed and his funeral was yesterday. Just want you to know how sorry I am that I was not there, had I known it I would have been there. Tommy and I were both in the Fieldale High School Class of 1957.”
