She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Gunnell Barnette and Ethel Alice King Barnette. She is survived by: her husband Richard Junior Raines; her children, David Fitzgerald (Kathy), Richard Lee Raines (Beckey) and Lisa Urbine (Louis); her sister Becky; her brother-in-law Charles Wilmer; her grandchildren, Christopher, Stephen, Ashley, Chastity, Kelsey, Cheyenne and Austin; and her great grandchildren, Afton, Piper, Olivia, Jade, Aaedyn, Harper and Trey.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Holly Memorial Gardens (3251 Seminole Trail, Charlottesville, VA 22911).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Barbara's name to the Augusta Health Shenandoah Hospice House.
