With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Earl Wallace Chittum of Fishersville, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 15, 2025 at the age of 98. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Wilson Chittum and Lula Bernice Chittum (Cox); and his siblings, Lloyd, Tucker, Burness, Elmer, Everett, Jim Chittum, Jean Brown, Ruth Brooks, Helen Ayers, Modema Smiley and Pauline Austin.
He is survived by: his children, Douglas "Doug" Chittum of Roanoke, Virginia and Tamara Ann "Tammy" Warren (Ronald) of Henderson; his granddaughter Ashley McDaniel (Ray); his great grandchildren, Kassidy Dickerson and Nathan McDaniel; and his close friends, Liz Bowles, Linda Beiler (Allen) and Mary Ellen Hershberger (Jesse).
