He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren C. Miller and Josephine C. Miller; and his sister Ruth Ann Miller. He is survived by: his son Joseph Nowell Miller II; his stepchildren, Billie Jo McCartney, Kayla Ramsey, Jason Loan and Amy Loan Dunford; his grandchildren, Kole Hensley, Kyra Miller, Kaden Miller, Tyler, Maddie and Katlin Dunford; his siblings, Carol A. Bullett, Mary Glasper-Davis, Monica Sease Agee (George), Cassandra Sease, Nathaniel Miller, Isaiah Miller (Kathleen) and David Miller; and his aunt Clara Wheaton. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
