He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Lloyd, Vergie Green Bywaters, Arthur Smoot Sr. and Goldie Riley Smoot; his uncle Bobby Smoot; and his pet Ziggy.
He is survived by: his parents, James Buddy Bywaters Sr. and Elizabeth Ann Smoot Bywaters. He is also survived by his cousin who was more like a sister; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
