She was predeceased by: her son Walter Matthew Phillips; her parents, William H. Dickerson and Annie M. Dickerson; and her brother William G. Dickerson. She is survived by: her siblings, Roger (Jennifer Dickerson), Bruce (Becky Dickerson) and Lona; her brother-in-law Mike Sowers; her nieces and nephews, David Dickerson, Josh, Carrie Dickerson, Brittany, Kenneth Monroe and Katrina Dickerson Glatt; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Dayton Dickerson, Briley Dickerson, Anni'Grace Dickerson, Hudson Monroe, Zack Monroe, Kaitlin Huff and Aj Ferguson; and her pet Maggie.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Floyd Station 1 Fire Department, P O Box 33 Floyd, VA 24091, in memory of her son Matthew Phillips.
