He was predeceased by: his parents, Anderson Vance and Barbara Vance; and his wife Wanda Vance. He is survived by: his children, Ricky Vance (Renee) and Sherry Chandler (Joe); his grandchildren, Andrew Chandler, Taylor Vance, Paige Chandler, Kelli Abel, Jacob Nofsinger, Joshua Nofsinger, Myah Zeigler, Dietz Vance and Bailey Vance Jacob Sowers; his children, Parker Frye, Buckley Nofsinger, Wylder Nofsinger and Emberylnn Waldron; his stepchildren, Matt Abel and Angela Sowers (Sonny); his brother William "Bill" Vance; his nieces, Connie Wade, Teresa Gibbson and Crystal Nourse; and his close friend Mikey Mengelt.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gardner Funeral Home (202 E Oxford St, Floyd, VA 24091).
