She was predeceased by: her husband Merlin E. Thompson; her parents, Moses Blackwell and Lottie Attaway Blackwell; and her siblings, Clyde Blackwell and Annabelle Austin.
She is survived by: her sister Dorothy Davis; her children, Janice Shortt (Michael), Joyce Midkiff (Ronnie) and Sherrell Thompson (Sheila); her grandchildren, Ashlee Weeks (John), Ryan Shortt (Hope) and Christopher Thompson (Jessica); her great grandchildren, Peyton and Grayson Weeks; her grandchildren, Braylee, Austin Shortt, Case, Craig and Johannah Thompson; and her sister-in-law Judy Blackwell.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice.
