She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Keith Shearer Markham and Hester Jane Hill Markham; her husband Joe Piccolo of Forest; her siblings, Mark Markham (Mary) of Clearwater, FL and Joan T. Jones (Paul) of Bozeman, MT; her sons, Bill McQuarrie (Maryanne) of Melbourne, FL, David McQuarrie (Robin) of Melbourne, FL, Adam Karol (Ashleigh) of Forest, VA and Brian Piccolo (Brianne) of Wilmington, NC.; her grandchildren, Andrew McQuarrie (Savannah) of Hanover, VA, Bryan McQuarrie (Kelsey) of Palm Bay, FL, Jessica Conklin, Olivia Romer of Melbourne, FL, Emily Karol and Samuel Karol of Forest, VA.; her great grandchildren, Harper McQuarrie and Reagan McQuarrie of Hanover, VA.; and her pet Coco.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Disabled American Veterans (DAV), and the Lynchburg Humane Society.
