He is survived by: his children, Christina Rogers (Arthur Rogers), Jessica Berry (Jonathan Berry) and George R. Shaffer, Jr. (Mary Shaffer); his grandchildren, George Arthur Rogers, Isadora Rogers, Rowe Berry, Norabel Berry, Finleigh Berry and George Richard Shaffer, III; and his children, Kathleen Pellicci and Timothy.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the North Bedford Baptist Church (4310 Coffee Rd, Forest, VA 24551).
