He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Ramsey Jr. and Effie Mae Toney Ramsey; his sister Amaryllis Ramsey Keaton; his son Kenan Dee Ramsey; and his wife Betty June Queen Ramsey.
He is survived by: his children, Starla J. Shaeff (Clyne) of Amherst, Kevin G. Ramsey (Lisa) of Evington and Robyn D. Ramsey (Carolyn Wood) of Forest; and his grandsons, Craig M. Shaeff of Amherst, Aaron C. Ramsey (Fran) of Potomac, MD and Brian A. Ramsey (Jessie) of Richmond, VA.. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
